a. Personal Information

When you register for an account or use certain features of our website, we may collect personal information, including but not limited to:

• Email address
• Account credentials (hashed passwords for email/password accounts)
• If you sign in with Google, the email address Google provides for that account
• Name and message content if you contact us through the contact form
• Profile preferences and settings

b. Usage Information

Our servers record basic information needed to run the site, such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may also collect pages visited, features used, and referring source.

c. Trading and Position Data

We store the trading records you add to Stocksicle. That includes positions, campaigns, dividends, income goals, and related notes you enter yourself, plus trades and dividends you choose to import from a connected brokerage.

d. Brokerage Connection Data

If you use Pro broker import, you connect a brokerage through SnapTrade, a third-party connectivity provider. SnapTrade handles the brokerage login on its connection portal. We do not receive or store your brokerage username or password. We store a SnapTrade user identifier and secret so we can retrieve the connections you authorize, then store the holdings, trades, and dividends you import into your Stocksicle account.

e. Payment Information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status and billing metadata needed to provide Pro access. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Personalize your experience on the platform
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates
• Ensure account security and prevent fraudulent activity
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With vendors who help us operate the Service. That includes SnapTrade (brokerage connections), Stripe (payments), Google (optional sign-in and, with your consent, analytics), and Cloudinary (image delivery). These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information.

We use a small number of cookies and similar storage technologies. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.

• Essential: A signed-in cookie so the site can show the right experience after you log in. Session tokens are stored in your browser so you stay signed in.
• Analytics: Google Analytics, only if you accept. These cookies help us understand which pages are used. Analytics is off until you accept.
• Preferences: Your theme choice and cookie decision are stored in your browser (local storage), not as advertising cookies.

On your first visit we ask whether to allow analytics. You can change that later from Cookies in the site footer. Declining analytics does not affect sign-in, tracking trades, or other product features. You can also block cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may keep you from staying signed in.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication protocols
• Regular security assessments and updates
• Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We may also retain and use your information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please email us at support@stocksicle.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. If you had connected a brokerage, we will also delete the related SnapTrade user so that connection is no longer active. Broker import is a Pro feature; ending Pro also removes SnapTrade access for that account.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and obtain a copy of your data
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

Stocksicle uses third-party services to provide parts of the product. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to data they process:

• SnapTrade: Optional Pro brokerage connections and read-only import of holdings, trades, and dividends. We do not place trades through SnapTrade.
• Stripe: Checkout, invoices, and subscription management for Pro.
• Google: Optional Sign in with Google, and Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
• Cloudinary: Delivery of images used on the site.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit before providing any personal information.

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of Stocksicle after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
